Vision Statement:
The student ministry at Four Corners includes Tweens (4th-5th grade), Middle School, and High School. It is our desire for students to be worshippers of God, disciples of Christ, lovers of the Word, and heralds of the gospel.
Worshippers of God…
- The duty of every creature which has breath is to praise the Lord (Psalm 150:6). This is the reason for which we were created. Therefore, we desire for every aspect of a student’s life to be holy and acceptable to God as an act of worship.
Disciples of Christ…
- The greatest need of anyone anywhere is to be made right with God. Such right standing can only happen by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We desire for students to trust, treasure, and follow Christ above all else – the one “who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification” (Rom. 4:25).
Lovers of the Word…
- God has revealed himself to us in his inerrant Word. From Genesis to Revelation, it is profitable and never returns void (2 Tim. 3:16; Is. 55:11). We desire for students to cherish God’s Word, trust in its power and sufficiency, and willingly submit to its authority over them.
Heralds of the Gospel…
- God has given each person a unique field of influence. We desire for students to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, in word and deed, wherever God plants them. In all circumstances, we desire for students to be “not ashamed of the gospel, for it is power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Rom. 1:16).
As we pursue this vision, we are committed to:
- Trusting the work of the Word (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Heb. 4:12)
- Elevating Christ in all things (1 Cor. 2:2)
- Equipping with a biblical worldview (1 Pt. 3:15)
- Participating with the whole church (1 Cor. 12:12)
- Partnering with parents (Deut. 4:9; Matt. 28:19)
- Relying on prayer (1 Thess. 5:17; Col. 1:9-12)
