1.   How would you summarize what we have encountered so far in the first two commandments? How do words like “love” and “joy” help us to encapsulate these truths?2.   Where do we see Christ in each of the first three commandments? What does it mean to say that he is the name of God par excellence?
3.   How does Scripture relate God to his name? How does dishonoring God’s name result in the growth and multiplication of idols?
4.   What does it mean to “take God’s name in vain”? What acts are prohibited, and what pursuits are encouraged?
5.   How can our actions betray our profession? Why should this also be considered under the third commandment?
6.   How does this reference to guilt push us immediately to the gospel? How does it cause us to think soberly about God’s discipline?
